Indications and Contraindications for MRI studies

 

You cannot have a MRI scan if you have any of the following:

  • A pacemaker
  • Aneurysm clips in the brain
  • Inner ear Implants
  • Metal fragments in eyes
  • Implanted spinal cord stimulator



There are other conditions which may be contraindicated to having an MRI performed, such as pregnancy and/or the presence of other types of metal in your body.

 

Make sure that you inform your physician immediately if any of the above conditions are present or if you have any other questions or concerns.
